I began writing this blog as a way to record my progress renovating an old Dolls House Emporium Classical dolls house which I built from a kit in the 1980's. It has now evolved into a blog about my ever increasing collection of dolls houses and the items I buy and make to put in them.

Hope you enjoy it.

Waterside Way Window and Doors.

Been on a bit of a go slow with building 'Waterside Way' as have been busy with other non-mini things. Have finished varnishing the windows, doors and patio doors. Haven't actually glued them in but thought I would put them in place for a photo to see how it looks.Have been wondering whether to continue to finish this project or not as I have decided to buy the Dolls House Emporium Magpies kit as a Christmas pressie for myself. Saw it over a year ago and really liked it but couldn't afford to buy it then. Magpies is a more traditional building and is better suited to my new idea for a cute little cafe with a shabby chic style owners house above. Will have to sell Waterside Way though as I don't have room for both buildings. Not sure whether to try and finish it first but there is still a lot to do and I can't really be bothered now.
Here is a link to Magpies on the DHE website:

Found this pack of 50 tinsel ties in Poundland today for (yes you guessed it) £1, they are the perfect size for making miniature christmas decorations. What a bargain :).
