I began writing this blog as a way to record my progress renovating an old Dolls House Emporium Classical dolls house which I built from a kit in the 1980's. It has now evolved into a blog about my ever increasing collection of dolls houses and the items I buy and make to put in them.

Hope you enjoy it.

More Miniature Collectables.

Went to an Antiques Fair in Aberdeen today and spotted these two lovely items.
This miniature French Limoges box only cost £3 and is marked Louis XV which I hadn't noticed at the fair as it is so small.
This brooch is from around the 1950's and the flower detail is actually engraved into the back then painted giving it a 3D effect which is not obvious in the photo.  Cost me £5.

Here is a photo of all my miniature French Limoges pieces so far:

Some New Items for Lottie's Tea Room

Even though I thought the tea room was finished I found space to add a few more items and also a couple more gorgeous new customers.

Upstairs I added a writing bureau in the bedroom and some new vases.
In the living room I found an armchair and footstool which matched the curtain under the sink, added a fireside rug and some books to the bookcase.

Lottie's Tea Room

It has been a while since I had time to do any mini-ing but I really wanted to get my 12th scale Edwardian tea room finished.  It is now called Lottie's Tea Room after my daughter Charlotte.

Here are a couple of close ups of the tea room, the paintings really finish it off.
Here is the upstairs, not too sure about the living room as it is a bit bare.  Would love a comfy chair but there is not enought room at the moment.  Might get rid of the table and chairs and put in an armchair and side table instead.  Also must make some books for the shelves.
