I began writing this blog as a way to record my progress renovating an old Dolls House Emporium Classical dolls house which I built from a kit in the 1980's. It has now evolved into a blog about my ever increasing collection of dolls houses and the items I buy and make to put in them.

Hope you enjoy it.

Another Dolls House

Once again I have bought a dolls house from my friend Paula of Paula's Dollyland :). I tried really hard to resist (honestly) but once I had the idea in my head that it would make a fantastic French style shabby chic house that was it.  Thankfully this one is perfectly decorated & lit already so all I have to do is furnish it.

Lilliput Lane Carrick House

Found this lovely little Lilliput Lane cottage in a charity shop today for only £1.75.  The price sticker was covering most of the label on the bottom but I could see it was a Lilliput and as it was one I didn't have I decided to buy it.  When I got home I gently peeled the price sticker off and was very happy to discover it is one of the Scottish Collection called Carrick House.

Miniature Sweet and Ice Cream Shop

Just about finished the interior of my new ice cream and sweetie shop which is going to be called 'Cones & Candy' (named after a new shop which has just opened in my town).  Just need to make a few signs for the interior and exterior then it will all be done.

The twins love it and would be in here all day if they were allowed.
Here are some close ups.

1949/50 Tri-ang 50 Dolls House

I've just bought this cute little Tri-ang 50 dolls house.  It has a card roof, metal door and no decoration on the outside so dates from about 1949/50 and is in lovely condition for its age.
There are 4 rooms on the inside which I will re-decorate with more authentic wallpaper.
The curtains also need replacing and I will furnish it with vintage furniture and accessories in keeping with the age and style of the house.
