I began writing this blog as a way to record my progress renovating an old Dolls House Emporium Classical dolls house which I built from a kit in the 1980's. It has now evolved into a blog about my ever increasing collection of dolls houses and the items I buy and make to put in them.

Hope you enjoy it.

My Dolls House Emporium Classical Dolls House

Thought I would do an update on my blog to see if anyone is still following.

A lot has happened since my last post, the main thing is that I have had to move my dolls houses back into the main house.  As weather got colder and wetter the shed got too damp for them and some of the wall and floor papers were getting ruined.  I actually had to totally redo the flooring in Lottie's Tea Room, The Priory and The Classical.

I have also decided to totally refurbish my old Dolls House Emporium Classical.  It was my first proper dolls house and apart from adding some new plastic windows, lights, carpets and modern furniture I hadn't done anything else to it since it was built 29 years ago.

Here are a couple of before pics.

I have totally stripped the inside and repainted the outside.  The plastic windows and door are going to be replaced with wooden ones as the plastic ones turn yellow after a few years.  This is how it looks at the moment with the plastic windows back in as I haven't painted the wooden ones yet.  The roof is going to be tiled with Richard Stacey Versi Tiles to give a more realistic look.

I would love to hear from you if you are still following my blog and are not in my Facebook group.
